Behavior analysts are required to recertify on the third year of their certification cycle in order to maintain their certification

• BCBA certificants must provide proof of completion of 36 hours of acceptable continuing education
• BCaBA certificants must provide proof of completion of 24 hours of acceptable continuing education
• Type II continuing education credits can be used as any portion or all of the total required number of continuing education hours

3-Credit Course Toilet Training for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities

This presentation is designed to review the behavior analytic literature on toilet training for individuals with developmental disabilities. Participants will be provided with an overview of early, seminal articles on toilet training as well as subsequent related literature which focuses primarily on procedural modifications and adaptations.

This review will include both the theoretical, behavioral underpinnings of the described procedures as well as specific clinical procedures, such that the participant would be able to implement a behaviorally-sound toilet training procedure.

Finally, participants will be provided with information about how to address specific clinical issues which may arise during the course of toilet training as well as the empirical evidence supporting such procedures.

This presentation is designed for both BCABA and BCBA level behavior analysts.
